Feeding the Chickadees

In the winter, we offer cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, winter camping, dog sledding, kick sledding, moonlight treks, astronomy talks/walks and theme fondue parties. Activities may include instruction, theory, survival skills and lots of adventure. Equipment can be provided or you can bring your own. A monthly newsletter will be sent out to interested participants with the months events posted.

Cross-country Ski Instruction - $80 pp/day OR $25/hour for private lessons

Winter Camping Skills and Overnight trip (2 days) Winter Warrior Package

Enjoy learning the skills of winter camping the first day and spend the night out under the stars & northern lights (providing that it is relatively mild). If it is extremely cold you may prefer to spend the night in a tent, quinzee or a shelter or by a cozy fire. Enjoy breakfast by the fire the next morning and head off for a day of snowshoeing or skiing. Equipment can be provided or you can bring your own. You will be required to bring your own clothing, winter boots, jacket, mitts, hat etc.

• $500 (Plus 14% federal and provincial sales tax) per person (Includes food, gear and winter camping/travel skills instruction)
• $300 (Plus 14% federal and provincial sales tax) per person if you supply your own gear.

Winter Fondue and theme day events

Enjoy a day with friends or family Snowshoeing, skiing, dog sledding, skijoring or kick sledding. You may like to participate in a little of everything or you may like to learn some winter camping skills or take some lessons on skate skiing. Join everyone by a cozy fire to warm up and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or meet inside Raven EcoVentures cabin for a lunch fondue feast.
